Nano brows, also called nano strokes or machine hair strokes, are one of the most advanced and natural-looking eyebrow tattooing techniques available. Using a digital machine fitted with an ultra-fine single nano needle, your artist places each stroke with precision to mimic a real brow hair, following the direction your hairs naturally grow.
Unlike microblading, which uses a manual blade, nano strokes are created by machine, giving far greater control over depth, pressure and consistency. Strokes heal finer and crisper, and tend to last longer, particularly on oily or combination skin.
Nano strokes can also be combined with soft nano shading for extra depth. We’ll recommend what will heal best for your skin.

Eyebrow tattooing typically lasts between 1 and 3 years, depending on your skin type, lifestyle and sun exposure. Because nano strokes are placed by machine at a consistent depth, they usually hold their shape longer than microblading, especially on oily skin. We recommend a touch-up every 12–18 months to keep your strokes crisp.
Both create realistic hair-like strokes, but the tools differ. Nano strokes use a digital machine with a single ultra-fine needle, giving precise control over depth and pressure, so they suit a wider range of skin types, including oily skin, and usually heal finer and last longer. Microblading uses a manual hand tool with a multi-needle blade and is best suited to dry to normal skin with good natural brow hair.
Yes. Nano strokes are often a better choice than microblading for oily or combination skin, because the machine places each stroke at a controlled depth, so strokes are less likely to blur. On very oily skin we may suggest adding soft shading, or Combination Brows, for the longest-lasting result.
Choose nano brows if you want the look of individual hairs and a very natural result. Choose powder brows if you love a soft, filled-in look like brow powder or pencil. If you’d like both, Combination Brows use nano strokes at the front and soft shading through the tail.
Nano strokes are designed to blend in with your natural brow hairs, so most people simply notice that your brows look fuller and more even. They look darker for the first week while healing, then soften to a natural finish.
Most clients describe it as mild discomfort rather than pain. We always apply numbing cream before and during your procedure, and your artist checks in with you throughout.
Often, yes. Old tattoos that have turned grey, blue or red can usually be colour corrected with the right pigments first. If the old pigment is too dark or deep to correct, we may recommend PicoWay laser fading sessions, which we offer in-house, before new strokes are added.
