Lip blush, also called pixel lip blush, is the most natural and subtle of our lip techniques. Using a light pixel method, we place soft colour across the whole lip to improve definition and create the illusion of fullness, without changing the shape of your lips at all.
We can match your natural lip tone for a barely-there, “your lips but better” result, or dust a soft shade of your choice for a gentle flush of colour. It is a very light technique with no hard lines and very little swelling, and it can restore the natural “white line” around the lip border that fades with sun and age.

We talk about the look you want and colour match in the studio from our extensive pigment range. Bring your favourite lipstick if you have a shade in mind.
A topical anaesthetic is applied before and throughout, then your artist builds soft colour across the whole lip and blends it back, so there is never a harsh line.
Expect mild swelling for up to 24 hours and dry lips for the first week. The colour looks much stronger at first, then softens to your healed result.

Lip tattoos generally last 2 to 3 years, depending on your skin type, lifestyle, sun exposure and colour choice. Lighter, natural shades like lip blush can fade a little sooner than deeper tones. Your perfecting session at 6–8 weeks is essential, and we recommend a touch-up every 1–2 years to keep the colour fresh.
Very little. You may have mild swelling for up to 24 hours; a cold pack wrapped in glad wrap helps. Your lips will feel dry during the first week and the colour will look darker and more intense for the first 3–5 days before softening to your true healed result.
Most clients find it very comfortable. A topical anaesthetic is applied before and throughout the procedure. Lips can be more sensitive than brows, especially towards the inner lip, but most clients manage easily. Taking Panadol 45 minutes beforehand can help.
Absolutely. We carry an extensive range of professional lip pigments, from the softest barely-there blush to deeper berry and red tones. We colour match in the studio, and if you have a favourite lipstick, bring it along. If the healed colour isn’t quite right, we can adjust it at your perfecting session.
No. We don’t tattoo a standalone lip liner. All of our lip techniques blend pigment into and across the whole lip, so there is never a harsh line, which is what gives our results their natural finish.
Yes, but please tell us before your appointment. Any lip procedure can trigger a cold sore in people who carry the virus, so we strongly recommend a course of antivirals first: Valtrex (prescription, usually taken 2 days before and 2 days after), L-Lysine (over the counter, daily for 4 weeks before), or Zovirax mixed with your aftercare balm while healing. If you have an active cold sore on the day, we’ll need to reschedule.
They do different things. Filler adds volume, but it doesn’t restore lost colour or definition. Lip blush adds colour and defines the lip border for the illusion of fullness. Many clients have both; if you do, we recommend tattooing first, and if you’ve recently had filler, please wait at least 2 months before your lip tattoo.

Between 6 and 8 weeks after your first appointment, and no sooner. This is where we make all adjustments to colour, shape and symmetry. Skipping or delaying it affects how long your result lasts, and bookings outside the 8-week window may incur an additional fee.
